The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, works well as part of a team, and is committed to helping create a positive learning environment where students can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Essential Responsibilities Instructional Support Assist teachers with classroom preparation, organization, and instructional activities. Work with individual students and small groups under the direction of the classroom teacher. Reinforce academic skills and classroom procedures. Assist with grading, copying, filing, and preparation of instructional materials. Support students in completing assignments and remaining on task. Assist with classroom technology and learning centers as directed. Supervise students during transitions throughout the school day. Student Supervision Assist with morning arrival, carline, dismissal, lunch, recess, and other assigned duties. Monitor student behavior and safety in all assigned areas. Enforce school rules and expectations consistently. Report concerns regarding student behavior, safety, or well-being to the supervising teacher or administrator. Assist during emergency drills and other safety procedures. Professional Responsibilities Be in the assigned location and ready to serve at the designated time each day. Follow the daily schedule and remain with assigned students and teachers unless directed otherwise. Maintain a positive, cooperative, and respectful attitude. Support the mission, policies, and procedures of St. Petersburg Christian School. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as assigned. Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters. Demonstrate character and serve as a positive role model for students. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to supervise students indoors and outdoors. Ability to lift and carry classroom materials as needed. Other Duties The Teacher Aide may be assigned additional duties as necessary to support the operation and ministry of St. Petersburg Christian School.
