Summer Camp Assistant TBTST Tamarac, FL Job Details Full-time $15 - $17 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Student supervision Hygiene practices (early childhood general education) Classroom active supervision Outdoor work Decision making Full Job Description The Toddler Camp Assistant supports the daily operations of the toddler camp program by helping to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. This position assists with supervision, activities, transitions, meals, and general classroom support while promoting positive interactions and ensuring the well-being of all campers.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assist in the supervision and care of toddlers throughout the camp day. Support the implementation of age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, and outdoor play. Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom and play environment. Assist children with daily routines, including handwashing, meals, rest periods, and bathroom/diapering needs as appropriate. Encourage positive social interactions and model appropriate behavior. Support smooth transitions between activities and locations. Follow all camp, health, safety, and licensing policies and procedures. Communicate concerns or incidents promptly to the Lead Teacher or Camp Director. Assist with set-up, clean-up, and preparation of materials for daily activities. Perform other duties as assigned to support the camp program.
Qualifications:
Experience working with young children preferred. Ability to interact positively and professionally with children, families, and staff. Reliable, dependable, and able to work as part of a team. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Must meet all applicable background screening and training requirements.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to actively supervise children indoors and outdoors. Ability to bend, lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as needed. Ability to occasionally lift and assist young children.
Work Environment:
This position works primarily in a classroom and outdoor camp setting and requires active engagement with children throughout the day. Pay:
