Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified and professional instructor to teach in our Medical Assistant program. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the medical field, hands-on experience, and the ability to effectively deliver instruction to adult students. The ideal candidate must be bilingual (English and Spanish) or possess advanced English proficiency to cater to a diverse audience, primarily during evening hours.Key Responsibilities:
Deliver theoretical and practical classes based on the Medical Assistant curriculum, adhering to state and school standards and regulations. Design and implement engaging lessons covering topics such as: Anatomy and physiology. Clinical procedures (vital signs, phlebotomy, medication administration, etc.). Administrative skills (electronic medical records, billing, and basic coding). Ethics and professionalism in the medical field. Supervise and evaluate student performance during simulations and practical activities. Prepare students for certification exams and workforce integration. Foster an inclusive and motivating learning environment, supporting students with varying levels of English proficiency. Assess academic progress and provide personalized feedback to promote student success. Maintain detailed records of attendance, evaluations, and educational materials.Requirements:
Education:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA,CCMA or RMA) or associate's/bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in the medical field, preferably in a clinical or administrative setting. Previous experience as an instructor or trainer (preferred).Language Skills:
Intermediate English proficiency (required); bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred).Additional Certifications:
Certified Medical Assistant CCMA Certification BLS/CPR certification (required or willingness to obtain before starting)Professional Skills:
Pharmacology Electrocardiography Phlebotomy Medical Terminology Anatomy and Physiology Simchart EHR/Administrative Procedures Minor Surgical Tray Setup Pulmonary Function Testing Microsoft Office Excel Spreadsheet Additional Requirement:
