JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher(s) in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning educational environment in which students with cognitive, physical, communication and emotional disabilities can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resources, under the direct supervision of a Highly Qualified Teacher.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
Associate Degree, completion of 60 semester hours of college or passing score of 457 on the ParaPro Assessment. Information about ParaPro can be located at www.ets.org/parapro. Conditions of Employment may be considered for highly qualified candidates who are willing to complete ParaPro testing during the 2023-2024 school year.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
Satisfactory completion required within 6-month period of the following training and/or certification provided by the
District:
Pediatric First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) First Aid Medication administration Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) In addition, CPR and First Aid training must be completed every two years and CPI training need to be kept current and renewed on an annual basis.
