Key Responsibilities:
Assists class leaders in implementing lesson plans which are age-group program specific; utilizes age-group appropriate discovery areas, enriched with program-specific activities, including teacher-made materials and hands-on activities. Assists in organizing and supervising recreational activities; observes, monitors, and supervises children on the playground. Assists in building and maintaining effective and positive relationships with parents; informs parents of children's progress and specific incidents.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to lift, hold, and carry toddlers on a regular basis. Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a normal childcare environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like One year of experience working with children in a church setting. or Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:
C.P.R. and First Aid Certification preferred.
