Blocker Society Foundation Atlanta, GA Job Details Temporary | Contract $80 - $100 a day 20 hours ago Qualifications School experience Nursing Teamwork Working with high schoolers Bachelor's degree Public Health Full Job Description Summer Healthcare Exposure Pathway Program (SHEPP)Program AssistantPosition Summary The Summer Healthcare Exposure Pathway Program (SHEPP) seeks enthusiastic healthcare professionals, health professions students, undergraduate students interested in healthcare careers, high school teachers, and school counselors to serve as Program Assistants. Program Assistants play a vital role in mentoring participants, supporting daily program operations, and helping create a positive and engaging learning environment for aspiring healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities Serve as a mentor and role model for high school student participants. Assist with student supervision during educational sessions, workshops, campus tours, and healthcare facility visits. Facilitate small-group discussions and activities related to healthcare careers and professional development. Support program logistics, including attendance, transportation coordination, and event setup. Encourage student engagement, professionalism, teamwork, and academic excellence. Assist guest speakers and program staff as needed. Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Preferred Qualifications Healthcare professionals (physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, allied health professionals, etc.). Current medical, dental, pharmacy, nursing, public health, or other health professions students. Undergraduate students with a demonstrated interest in healthcare careers. High school teachers, counselors, or educators with experience mentoring students. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Passion for youth development, mentorship, and healthcare workforce diversity. Time Commitment Program Assistants are expected to participate during the Summer Healthcare Exposure Pathway Program, June 15-18, 2026, and attend the mandatory orientation session on June 13, 2026. Impact Program Assistants help inspire the next generation of healthcare leaders by providing guidance, encouragement, and real-world insight into healthcare careers while supporting students throughout their SHEPP experience.
