Our mission is to assist families in the skill and resource development necessary to safely maintain children in their home. Our philosophy is that each family has the ability to address any situation they may face. We believe that with proper support, education and encouragement, families can establish goals and a value base that will guide them in their development. Mental Health Paraprofessional Responsibilities & Duties (Driving 80%) Provide transportation for the children/adolescents Serves as a liaison between family and other mental health professionals providing services to the family Serve as a parent aide Conducts drug screens Advocates for the child and/or family, which could include writing reports for and attending court proceedings, panel reviews and school meetings Documents all work with children/adolescents, community resources and partners Creates and submits clear documentation of all services provided to child and/or family Mental Health Paraprofessional Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field; and appropriate training, certification and/or credentials. Two or more years of experience working as a Community Support Individual, Paraprofessional or Case Manager in homes, schools and/or the community Documented experience working with at-risk children, adolescents and families Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to diverse cultures. Flexible work schedule, including the ability to work evenings and weekends. Laptop, valid Georgia driver's license, vehicle and ability to travel off site. Bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English) is a plus.
