Job Description

Job Description Training Center of NWGA is seeking a passionate and engaging Clinical Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy Instructor to help prepare students for successful careers in the healthcare field. This position is ideal for a healthcare professional who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping others grow professionally. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of Medical Assisting experience and be skilled in phlebotomy (drawing blood) . Candidates who are LPNs or RNs are also encouraged to apply. This role offers a supportive work environment and flexible scheduling . While this is a part-time position, instructors have the opportunity to teach day classes, night classes, or both depending on availability.
Schedule Options:
Day Instructor:
Mondays & Wednesdays (morning classes) Approx. 14-18 hours per week
Night Instructor:
Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays (evening classes) Approx. 12-16 hours per week Day +
Night Instructor:
Teach both schedules Approx. 26-32 hours per week Our goal is to create a learning environment where students feel supported, motivated, and prepared to enter the healthcare workforce. Responsibilities Teach Clinical Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy concepts and skills to students Demonstrate proper clinical procedures including venipuncture and specimen handling Prepare students for entry-level positions in the healthcare field Provide hands-on instruction and supervision during skills practice Maintain an engaging and supportive classroom environment Track student attendance, participation, and progress Ensure classroom and lab activities follow safety and professional standards Support and encourage students throughout their training Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 5 years experience as a Medical Assistant (OR LPN/RN) (License must be active.) Strong phlebotomy skills and experience drawing blood Excellent communication and teaching ability Passion for helping others succeed in healthcare careers Organized and able to manage class structure effectively Trustworthy and dependable Punctual and professional Patient and supportive with students of all learning levels Ability to work cooperatively with staff and students What We Offer Flexible part-time schedules Supportive and positive work environment Opportunity to help shape the next generation of healthcare professionals Consistent class schedules If you enjoy teaching, mentoring, and making a difference in students' lives , we would love to hear from you.
