The Assistant Director will help ensure a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment while assisting with staff supervision, enrollment, parent communication, and compliance with state licensing requirements. Responsibilities Assist the Director with daily center operations. Support staff scheduling, training, and supervision. Help maintain compliance with Georgia childcare licensing regulations. Assist with enrollment, tours, and family orientation. Communicate professionally with parents and staff. Maintain children's records and center documentation. Help manage classroom coverage and staff-to-child ratios. Assist with staff meetings and center events. Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Step into classrooms when needed to support teachers. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Childcare experience required. Management or leadership experience preferred. CPR and First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain). Ability to pass a background check. CDA, TCC, Associate Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Skills Leadership and teamwork. Problem-solving abilities. Professional communication. Time management and multitasking. Knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices.
