School days, Monday-Friday Job Summary ND Global Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking qualified Paraprofessionals / Special Education Paraprofessionals to support students in a school-based setting in Columbia County, Georgia. The selected candidates will work under the supervision of classroom teachers, special education teachers, and school administrators to support student learning, classroom activities, supervision, and instructional programs. This position may include general classroom support, special education support, one-on-one student assistance, small group instruction support, IEP goal support, behavior support, and student supervision. Key Responsibilities Provide classroom support under the direction of the supervising teacher. Assist with one-on-one, small group, and classroom activities based on teacher direction and student needs. Support students with disabilities in accordance with assigned instructional plans, IEP goals, and Behavior Intervention Plans when applicable. Assist with student supervision during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, bus loading/unloading, and other school routines. Help collect and document student progress data as requested by the teacher. Assist with student assessments, classroom interventions, and instructional activities. Prepare instructional materials, classroom displays, learning centers, and classroom supplies. Support students using assistive technology, adaptive materials, or communication devices when needed. Assist with classroom organization, housekeeping, equipment setup, and routine recordkeeping. Help students with self-help needs such as feeding, toileting, dressing, or mobility support when required. Maintain confidentiality of student information at all times. Follow the direction of the supervising teacher, principal, and school administration. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must meet one of the following paraprofessional qualification requirements: Completed at least two years of higher education study, equal to 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours; or Associate's degree or higher; or High school diploma or GED and successful completion of the Georgia-required Paraprofessional Assessment. Prior experience working with children, students with disabilities, or school-based programs preferred. Ability to follow teacher directions and complete assigned duties with minimal supervision. Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills. Basic computer, clerical, and classroom technology skills preferred. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality. Preferred Skills Experience working in a school or classroom setting. Experience supporting students with IEPs, behavior plans, or special education needs. Knowledge of child development and classroom support. Experience with student supervision, instructional support, and data collection. Crisis prevention, behavioral support, CPI, or Non-Violent Crisis Prevention training preferred but not required at time of application. Training Requirements Must participate in required training to renew paraprofessional certification, as applicable. May be required to participate in special services department training. May be required to complete Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention or equivalent training if assigned to programs supporting students with behavioral needs. Physical Requirements May require standing, walking, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and sitting on the floor during student activities. Special education assignments may require assisting with student transfers or lifting support as needed in accordance with school procedures. Must be able to hear, see, follow instructions, and complete tasks with minimal supervision. Must demonstrate emotional maturity, patience, and professionalism when supporting students.
