Pre K Assistant Teacher 438 Prior Street NE, Gainesville, GA 30501 $25,400 a year - Full-time, Contract $25,400 a year - Full-time, Contract Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Pre K Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape the foundational years of young learners. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for preschool children. Your energy and passion will inspire curiosity, foster social-emotional growth, and promote developmental milestones in a dynamic classroom setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early learning experiences while developing your skills in childhood education. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children follow routines and rules Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development Provide individualized attention and support to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to active learning and exploration Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to early childhood education Help monitor children's progress and document observations to inform ongoing assessment and planning Qualifications Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and early learning standards Experience with special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education methods Ability to manage classroom activities confidently while maintaining a warm and supportive environment Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; Montessori or preschool experience is a plus Embark on a rewarding journey where your dedication helps young minds flourish!
