Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a difference in a dynamic school environment supporting young learners in a Special Education Pre-K program. This full-time contract opportunity offers a rewarding experience working with children ages 3-5 who have a variety of developmental needs. The position runs from August 4th, 2026, through May 21st, 2027, and is located near Ringgold, GA. You will be a vital member of the classroom team, providing direct support to students who may be non-verbal or have limited verbal skills, assisting with behavioral needs, and playing a crucial role in daily routines such as toileting, diapering, and feeding. Your contributions will help foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
GaPSC Paraprofessional Certificate (required prior to start; candidates without this credential are welcome to interview, provided certification is obtained before the assignment begins) Experience working in early childhood, Pre-K, or special education settings preferred Comfort and competency assisting with toileting and diapering, as well as feeding Patience, empathy, and a collaborative mindset Effective communication skills with both children and staff Ability to support classroom management and implement individualized strategies
