Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make an impact in an educational setting as a contract paraprofessional, supporting students and teachers in a vibrant school environment near Rossville, GA. Two full-time positions are available for the 2026-2027 academic year at LaFayette Middle School. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to play a vital role in students' daily success over the course of the school year.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current GaPSC Paraprofessional Certification strongly preferred; candidates not yet certified are welcome to apply if able to complete certification prior to start date Willingness to complete onsite district fingerprinting as required Previous experience in a paraprofessional or educational support role beneficial Dependable, patient, and eager to support diverse student needs Clear communication skills and the ability to follow guidance from instructional staff Open to interviewing for one or both open assignments based on preference
Key Responsibilities:
Assist lead teachers by supporting classroom management and instruction Adapt support strategies based on individual student needs as directed Collaborate with educators and staff to ensure an inclusive, supportive learning environment Maintain confidentiality and foster positive relationships with students Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development as required Carry out additional duties as determined by school administrators
Assignment Details:
Contract duration: August 4, 2026 - May 21, 2027
Hours:
