Assistant Preschool Teachers Northbrook Preschool Roswell, GA Job Details Part-time 5 hours ago Qualifications Elementary Education Special education assessments Physical development (child development components) Public school experience Cognitive development instruction Special education diagnostic testing Classroom organization for children Curriculum implementation Lesson planning Associate's degree Classroom Teaching Student needs assessment Early Childhood Education Classroom management interventions Full Job Description Education & Experience Minimum of a CDA, associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Child Development or Preschool Special Education preferred Minimum of two years experience in the direct care of young children (birth-5 years) Essential Skills & Qualifications Convey a clear depth of knowledge of the cognitive, social, emotional and physical developmental patterns of children from birth-5 years. Convey a clear depth of knowledge of the various learning theories relevant to working with toddlers and preschoolers Convey a clear depth of knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice as it relates to areas of room arrangement, teacher/child interaction, curriculum and lesson planning, and classroom management. Demonstrate proficiency in the skills needed to individually evaluate young children and make appropriate recommendations when special needs intervention is required. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. Can physically meet the demands of caring for young children.
