Job Description

Lead Teacher Position:
Job Summary We are seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teachers to join the Bright Learning Academy community as full-time Lead or Assistant educators. In this role, you will play an important role in fostering a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young learners rom 6 weeks to 5 years old. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire children's curiosity, support their growth across all developmental domains, and promote a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma, CDA , TCC or a Technical Certificate or above in early childhood or related fields. Spoken and written English fluency (Chinese fluency a plus) Enthusiastic in educating your minds and working with families Pass state background check Previous 1-2 years experience working with children in a licensed or accredited day care, childcare center or preschool preferred Adaptability in a continuously changing, fast-paced environment and participation in activities like singing, dancing, jumping and running Valid CPR and First-Aid certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment).
Responsibilities Lead Teacher Position:
Record and send out infant/toddler daily sheets via an online communication platform to update families about their infant/toddler's feeding, bottle, and diapering log daily. Communicate with parents by sending photos of daily activities through an online communication platform on a daily basis, reply and address parent concerns and refer to the office when needed, greet families with a genuine and friendly spirit, and assist the office in sending out weekly newsletters to inform parents of school activities. Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level. Willing to assist children in developing self-help skills pertaining to their developmental age. Engage in collaborative planning/ teaching, create and implement approved weekly/bi-weekly lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with Bright Learning Academy's curriculum and programming. Conduct ongoing assessment by collecting photo samples, keeping anecdotal note records, and transferring the data into a formal checklist and summary assessment for each child in the class. Gain knowledge of the Georgia Early Learning Development Standards (GELDS) and project-based learning and apply it in lesson-planning and ongoing assessment. Plan with a co-teacher and a member of the Leadership Team to conduct semi-annual parent-teacher conferences in Fall and Spring. Contribute to the teaching team innovative teaching ideas and strategies. Update and communicate with the office about progress, challenges, and needs in the classroom. Plan, organize and inform the office of classroom, parent volunteer opportunities, and family events throughout the school year in an organized manner. Attend staff meetings and be a constructive member by voicing concerns and proposing possible solutions. Attend annual required training to improve and grow professionally. Be adaptive towards possible new educational trends and ideas that the school proposes to implement. Follow all rules and regulations at Bright Learning Academy and the local/state regulatory agencies pertaining to the health safety and care of children. Accept responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds. Assist in other capacities that the Director, or designee, determines is necessary. Lift moderate to heavy weight (60 to 100 pounds); stand, walk, run, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, manual dexterity use of legs and feet, good hearing and vision. Ability to communicate with office/parents for possible early intervention possibilities. Relate to and interact with children with special needs. Engage students in indoor and outdoor activities.
Assistant Teacher Position:
Provides continuous supervision of assigned children and maintains classroom management. Consistently interacts in a positive developmentally appropriate way with the children; role modeling appropriate behavior and language for children. Builds positive relationships with families, co-workers, and management. Assists lead co-teacher with communicating with parents by taking/sending photos of daily activities through an online communication platform. Greets families with a genuine and friendly spirit. Communicates parent concerns received with lead teacher/ office, and brainstorm strategies/action plans to address the concern. Engages in collaborative planning/ teaching and assists lead co-teacher with implementing learning activities/ centers. Assists lead co-teacher with ongoing assessment by collecting photo samples, keeping anecdotal note records, and transferring the data into a formal checklist and summary assessment for each child in the class. Plans with the lead co-teacher and a member of the Leadership Team to conduct semi-annual parent-teacher conferences in Fall and Spring. Contributes to the teaching team with innovative teaching ideas and strategies. Updates and communicates with the office about progress, challenges, and needs in the classroom. Discusses and assists the lead co-teacher with planning, organizing and informing the office of parent volunteer opportunities and family events in the classroom throughout the school year in an organized manner. Is adaptive towards possible new educational trends and ideas that the school proposes to implement. Pay:
$15.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
