Based on experience About Rocli Rocli Learning Center provides academic support, small-group learning programs, and individualized support for neurodivergent children, including students with autism, ADHD, speech/language delays, sensory needs, and other learning differences. We are seeking a part-time Student Support Guide to assist children who may need additional support during Rocli programs, especially students who do not currently have an ABA therapist or outside support person attending with them. Position Overview The Student Support Guide helps students participate safely and successfully in Rocli's learning environment. This role is not a therapy position and does not replace ABA, speech therapy, occupational therapy, or any licensed clinical service. Instead, the Support Guide provides hands-on classroom and program support, helping students with transitions, participation, communication, regulation, safety, and daily routines. This is a great position for someone with experience as an RBT, paraprofessional, classroom assistant, behavior aide, special needs caregiver, homeschool assistant, or childcare provider. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one or small-group support to neurodivergent students during Rocli programs Help students transition between activities, learning blocks, breaks, lunch, and pickup/drop-off Support students with participation in academic, social, and life-skills activities Assist with communication, prompting, redirection, and emotional regulation Help maintain a calm, safe, and structured environment Support students during sensory breaks, movement breaks, and calming activities Assist with basic independence skills as appropriate Follow each child's support plan, safety notes, and family-provided guidance Communicate concerns or observations to Rocli leadership Work alongside Rocli tutors, guides, and outside ABA providers when applicable Help prevent elopement, unsafe behavior, or major disruptions by staying attentive and proactive Maintain professionalism, patience, and confidentiality at all times Important Clarification This position does not provide ABA therapy, bill insurance, create treatment plans, or replace licensed/credentialed therapy services. The role is designed to provide educational and program support within Rocli's learning environment. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is patient, calm, dependable, and comfortable working with children who may have communication delays, sensory needs, behavioral challenges, or difficulty participating in traditional classroom settings. We are looking for someone who can build trust with children, follow directions well, and stay calm during challenging moments. Preferred Experience Experience working with children with autism or developmental differences RBT experience or ABA center experience preferred but not required Paraprofessional, special education assistant, or classroom aide experience preferred Experience with nonverbal or minimally verbal children is a plus Experience with sensory support, visual schedules, prompting, and redirection is a plus Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Must be at least 18 years old Must be dependable, patient, and professional Must be comfortable supporting children with varying needs Must be able to pass a background check CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain RBT certification is a plus but not required Schedule This is a part-time position. Daytime availability is preferred. Hours may vary based on student enrollment, program schedule, and family support needs.
