Job Description

Job Overview We are looking for a Paraprofessional to join our team in the management and organization of a classroom. They will provide positive guidance for students, attending to their physical needs as well as academics and emotional wellbeing. They will also provide much-needed support during lunch time. If you enjoy interacting with students and supporting children with special needs, we'd like to meet with you. Feel free to share your past experience along with your application. Paraprofessional responsibilities include providing staff support in an educational environment.
Paraprofessional responsibilities include:
Collaborate with the supervising teacher and clinical team to support daily clinic activities and programming Assist RBTs with administrative tasks, including documentation, paperwork, and reports Provide support coverage for staff, including assisting with breaks as needed Communicate effectively with clients to support understanding and engagement during activities Supervise small groups of clients (1-5) during lunch periods throughout the day Prepare and support client lunches as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment, including light cleaning tasks (e.g., sanitizing, mopping) Monitor and track inventory of clinic materials and supplies Engage with clients to promote learning, participation, and positive behavior Lead and support structured lunchtime routines Assist with personal care and physical support needs, as appropriate Follow all safety procedures and take necessary precautions to protect clients Perform other duties as assigned Requirements and skills Proven work experience as a Paraprofessional or similar role Must complete and pass a criminal background check Passionate, dedicated, and committed to teaching children Experience in helping teachers in a classroom environment desired Dependable and punctual Good understanding of the educational system Strong interpersonal and social attribute Have patience with children, including those with special needs Ability to stand, move around, and squat for long hours at a time
Pay:
$10.00 - $15.00 per hour
