Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Preschool Assistant Teacher for the closing shift to join our vibrant team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives by supporting their growth, learning, and well-being during the afternoon and evening hours. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, patience, and a passion for early childhood education to create a safe and stimulating classroom environment. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum development plans that promote literacy education, math skills, and social-emotional growth. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment and managing children's behavior effectively. Engage with children in age-appropriate activities, including toddler care, physical education, and early intervention strategies. Help prepare lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and Montessori or other educational philosophies. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and welfare at all times. Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom, ensuring compliance with childcare regulations and standards. Skills Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, and physical activities. Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, and classroom management strategies. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and team members effectively. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational approaches such as preschool curriculum development.
