This role provides essential support to ensure the smooth operation of daily classroom activities and instructional periods. The schedule is a consistent 19 hours per week, spread across five days (Monday through Friday), requiring reliability and commitment. Assist the teacher in preparing instructional materials, including copying, laminating, organizing supplies, and setting up learning centers. Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring and reinforcement activities as directed by the teacher. Supervise students during independent work, centers, or transitions, ensuring they remain on task. Assist in administering and scoring basic student assessments (e.g., spelling tests, math drills) under the teacher's supervision. Help maintain an orderly and attractive classroom environment (e.g., bulletin boards, materials display, cleanup). Supervise students during non-instructional times, which may include recess, lunch, in-class transitions, or hallway monitoring. Help manage student behavior using positive and consistent strategies established by the teacher and school. Assist students with basic personal needs, such as finding supplies, tying shoes, or navigating the classroom.
