$15.07/hr. (+$0.40 extra for 60+ college credit and $0.30 for Para Certification/Sub Authorization) This individual is responsible for supervising the behavior and safety of students. Acts as a resource for individuals throughout the school by assisting with locating materials in the Media Center and by providing an organized center to promote student education and reading enjoyment.Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting district wide Media Specialists with checking books in and out; shelving books; assisting students and staff with locating appropriate materials; performing clerical duties; and maintaining technology equipment, computer system and automated card catalog. Position Responsibilities The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. These statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required of all personnel within this position. Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending upon building assignments and other factors. Check books in and out of the Media Center. Shelve books. Supervise students. Assist students and staff with locating appropriate materials in the Media Center. Perform clerical duties such as maintaining student records and catalog system. Record periodicals and prepare them for student circulation and teacher routing. Prepare overdue lists and notices. Read stories to students visiting the Media Center. Perform minor maintenance of technology equipment. Assist with inventorying all technology and print and non-print materials. Facilitate learning around makerspace. Perform other duties as assigned.
