We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our management team at an 83-bed skilled nursing facility. As a Full-Time LPN Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with your leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote quality care and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee and coordinate the nursing staff, to ensure nursing staff are educated in the orientation process.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents' health status.
- Provide direct patient care as needed, ensuring adherence to professional standards and best practices.
- Act as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss resident care and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of nursing personnel.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Stay updated with current healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active License Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Minimum of 2 Years of experience in nursing, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact compassionately and professionally with residents, families, and staff.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and standards of care.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work well under pressure.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software.
