Job Description

Job Goal:
To assist in providing a well-organized, fun and safe environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.
Performance Responsibilities:
A Teacher Associates is an extension of the classroom teacher. He/She is to help students carry out tasks as assigned. The associate does not initiate a learning activity nor does she/he teach. The associate guides the students, individually or in small groups, according to the directions given by the classroom teacher. The associate's main role is to work with students and to maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully certificated teachers. Outdoor duties, including recess and bus duties may be required.
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent The South Central Calhoun CSD offers career and technical programs in the following service areas: Ag Education, Computer Science, Business, Auto Tech., Health Occupations, FCS.
