Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children. Your role will involve assisting with lesson planning, providing care for toddlers, supporting curriculum development, and working with students, including those with autism.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
  • Provide care and support for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum
  • Work closely with students, including those with autism, to provide individualized support and assistance
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes learning and development
  • Assist with monitoring student progress and documenting observations
  • Support literacy education by engaging students in reading activities
  • Encourage social interaction and promote positive behavior among students
Experience:
  • Previous experience working with children in a daycare or classroom setting is preferred
  • Familiarity with childhood development principles and practices
  • Experience working with students, including those with autism, is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students and provide appropriate support We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
