Job Description

at Mountain View Joint School District - No. 244 in Grangeville, Idaho, United States Job Description The Library Paraprofessional will work under the supervision of the building Principal.
  • will be responsible for checking in and checking out library books at the school building library,
  • will shelve books categorically and sequentially by author and or library book number,
  • he/she will train and supervise student library aides to help with routine library tasks,
  • will request books/periodicals from the Val Net Library system and provide assistance to teachers and para-educators,
  • may be called upon to give introductory presentations on the capabilities and functions of the library to classes of students,
  • under the direction of the building Principal, the Library Paraprofessional will order new books, periodicals and newspapers,
  • and, perform other duties as assigned.
Salary will be based upon the 2026-27 Non-certified salary schedule. Position is full time. Benefits include medical, vision, dental coverage and retirement effective the following month after the hire date. Background Record Check must be completed upon date of hire. Background Record Check must be cleared by the State Dept of Education before the first day of school. Must show proof of 32 credits and/or a degree per college transcripts or prepare to take the Paraprofessional Praxis Exam before the first day of school or show proof of having taken the Exam.
