Approximately 2.5-3 hours per day Position Summary The Aftercare Aide supports the Aftercare Teacher in providing a safe, structured, and positive environment for students after the regular school day has ended. This position assists with student supervision, homework support, activities, routines, and general student needs during the aftercare program. The Aftercare Aide should enjoy working with children, be dependable, and help create a calm, respectful, and caring environment for students at the end of the school day. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Aftercare Aide will: Assist the Aftercare Teacher with supervision of students from approximately 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Help maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly environment. Support students with homework, reading, and other academic tasks as needed. Assist with aftercare routines, including snack time, cleanup, indoor and outdoor activities, and dismissal. Help lead or support age-appropriate games, activities, and quiet work time. Monitor student behavior and redirect students when necessary. Communicate student concerns or behavioral issues to the Aftercare Teacher or principal. Help ensure students are released only to approved parents, guardians, or authorized adults. Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters. Model Christian values, kindness, patience, and respect in interactions with students and families. Perform other duties as assigned by the Aftercare Teacher or principal.

Qualifications Preferred qualifications include:

Experience working with children in a school, daycare, church, coaching, or youth program setting. Ability to supervise students in a calm and professional manner. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Dependability and punctuality. Ability to support students with basic homework and reading tasks. Willingness to follow school policies and safety procedures. Completion of all required background checks and Safe Environment training. Physical Requirements This position may require the ability to stand, walk, sit, supervise students indoors and outdoors, assist with cleanup, and respond quickly to student needs or safety concerns.
