Cole Valley Christian Schools, established in 1972, is the largest Christian school in Idaho, serving approximately 1,400 students from early childhood through 12th grade with a culture of grace, truth and love. Job Summary:
Cole Valley Christian Schools is seeking God's wisdom as we search for a Christ following, dynamic, and gifted individual to join our incredible staff. The Lunch Program Assistant supports the daily operation of the school cafeteria. This role helps prepare and serve meals, maintains cleanliness and food safety standards, assists students during meal service, and supports inventory and kitchen organization to ensure an efficient and positive dining experience for students and staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Lunch Program Manager in serving lunch to middle school and high school students. Accept payment from students and staff for daily lunch. Prepare and package food for daily purchase. Clean kitchen and surrounding areas. Set up and tear down tables, cash register and lunch items daily. Create and manage electronic menu board content to ensure accuracy, consistency and timely updates. Order and/or purchase weekly groceries and supplies for lunch and Charger Grounds Coffee Bar. Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets to track pricing, inventory ordering, and costs. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Desire to invest in and disciple students in their relationship with the Lord. Demonstrated ability to work in unity as part of a team, serving others. Evidence of a teachable heart, humility, and a gentle spirit. High school diploma or equivalent preferred Must have current driver's license. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
Spiritual Qualifications:
Profess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have made Him both Savior and Lord as represented in Scripture (John 14:1-27; Ephesians 2:8-22) and accepts without reservation the Statement of Faith of Cole Valley Christian Schools. Have a history of faithfully attending and financially supporting a Bible believing church. Have a verifiable history of living and modeling Christian character in employee's personal and professional life, serving as a Christian role model first to family and friends and then to students, parents, and fellow faculty and staff members in regard to personal judgment, dignity, and Christian living. This is expressed in such passages as Ephesians 5:21-23; Colossians 3:12-17; and 2 Peter 1:1-10. Individual's life in Christ must continue to be faithfully pursued in and out of the workplace as a condition of continuing in this ministry position. Willing to submit to the authority of those who have oversight of the school (1 Peter 2, 9-20), and to fully cooperate with these authorities and adhere to the policies adopted by the School Board in both letter and intent. Strive at all times to understand, appreciate, love, and nurture the students entrusted to employee for instruction, supervision, and/or oversight, and must provide for their fullest spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional development.

Hours:
Part-time at 20 hours per week, 200 contract days.
Salary:
Starts at $12.00 per hour. Actual salary depends upon experience.

25% discount on tuition. Does not include fees.
