Program Assistant

Company Overview Idaho State University (ISU) is a distinguished doctoral research and teaching institution established in 1901. With campuses across multiple locations, ISU offers over 280 academic programs, serving a vibrant community of nearly 14,300 students dedicated to learning and innovation. The Institute of Rural Health office administers several AmeriCorps programs and this position will work with the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP program (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program). We are hiring for 2 positions- one in Pocatello, ID, and one in Shoshone County, ID. Job Summary Organize and coordinate recruitment and informational campaigns; manage community outreach efforts; and keep in contact with program volunteers and participants.

Minimum Qualifications Required Skills:

strong interpersonal and communication skills, including with older adult population; basic marketing and outreach skills (in-person and digital); organizational skills to manage multiple outreach efforts; public speaking or presentation experience; and basic computer proficiency. Must be reliable and responsive in communicating with program leadership.

Preferred Skills:

experience in community engagement, outreach, or grassroots organizing; experience with social media marketing platforms.

Additional Information Qualifications:

education or work experience in fields like communications, public health, social work, marketing, or related area preferred. One year of relevant experience in outreach, recruiting, or marketing roles preferred. Experience working with older adults is preferred. Must be able to work independently when needed and be self-motivated.

Pay:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
