This full-time position involves supporting the educational and developmental needs of young children in a preschool setting. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of preschool-aged children. Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities that align with the preschool curriculum.
- Support individual and small group instruction to enhance children's learning experiences.
- Monitor and engage students during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their participation and enthusiasm for learning.
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including setting up and taking down materials and equipment.
- Assist with the preparation of instructional materials and resources for lessons and activities.
- Communicate regularly with teachers and staff regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior and implementing positive reinforcement strategies. Requirements
- Requires an AA degree or successful completion of the Idaho Paraprofessional Exam.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
