Job Description
Summary Harrison Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Preschool Paraprofessional. This full-time position involves supporting the educational and developmental needs of young children in a preschool setting. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of preschool-aged children. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities that align with the preschool curriculum. Support individual and small group instruction to enhance children's learning experiences. Monitor and engage students during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their participation and enthusiasm for learning. Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including setting up and taking down materials and equipment. Assist with the preparation of instructional materials and resources for lessons and activities. Communicate regularly with teachers and staff regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise. Assist in managing classroom behavior and implementing positive reinforcement strategies. Requirements Requires an AA degree or successful completion of the Idaho Paraprofessional Exam. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children. Must be willing to become CPI trained at the first available training after employed by Twin Falls School District. This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The employment "at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and approved by the Board of Trustees of District 411. Employment is contingent upon board approval and successful completion of federal background check and drug-free workplace pre-employment screening.
