Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Clinical Medical Assistant Instructor to join our educational team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape future healthcare professionals by delivering engaging, comprehensive instruction in clinical medical assisting. The instructor will be responsible for developing curriculum, facilitating hands-on learning experiences, and ensuring students acquire essential skills in patient care, medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures. This position emphasizes fostering a positive learning environment while maintaining high standards of educational excellence and compliance with healthcare industry regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of clinical expertise, teaching experience, and a passion for mentoring students in higher education settings. Responsibilities Deliver engaging classroom lectures and practical training sessions on clinical procedures, medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care techniques. Develop and update curriculum materials aligned with current industry standards and accreditation requirements. Supervise students during clinical practice labs, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and accurate skill acquisition. Assess student performance through examinations, practical evaluations, and documentation review to monitor progress and provide constructive feedback. Incorporate learning technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), Blackboard, and other digital tools to enhance instructional delivery. Facilitate clinical research projects or clinical trials related to healthcare education or patient care practices. Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development initiatives and participate in program accreditation activities to uphold educational quality standards. Requirements Proven experience in clinical healthcare settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or veterinary practices with expertise in areas like acute care, pediatrics, critical care, or public health. Supervising experience in clinical environments or educational settings is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, nursing practices, and patient care procedures. Familiarity with learning technology platforms including LMS (Learning Management System), Blackboard, and laboratory management tools. Prior teaching experience at the higher education level or adult education programs is preferred. Experience with curriculum development and documentation review processes to ensure compliance with accreditation standards. Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology is a plus for programs involving veterinary medicine or animal health sciences. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to manage classroom dynamics while fostering an inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and active participation.
