Assistant Teacher

Position Summary We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. The Assistant Teacher will help implement daily activities, supervise children, and promote positive social and educational development. Key Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson preparation Supervise and engage with children during play, learning, meals, and rest times Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Support children's emotional, social, and developmental needs Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate social skills Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and organization of materials Help monitor and document children's progress and behavior as directed Communicate professionally with parents and staff Follow all school policies, Follow

rules and IDPH guideline, and safety procedures Participate in staff meetings and training opportunities Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Coursework or certification in Early Childhood Education preferred Previous childcare experience preferred CPR and First Aid certification preferred Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Frequent standing, walking, bending, and sitting on the floor with the children Ability to actively participate in classroom and outdoor activities

Pay:

$15.75 per hour
