Requirements Must be 18 years or older High school diploma or GED CPR/First Aid preferred Must complete 15 hours of yearly training DCFS requirements include physical, TB test, proof of MMR, and Tdap vaccines Responsibilities Help maintain a safe, caring classroom environment Assist teachers with lesson plans and daily activities Supervise children at all times Support meals, potty training, and positive discipline Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization Assist with observations, newsletters, and classroom planning Qualifications Per DCFS requirements, assistants must: Have a high school diploma or GED Meet Section 407.100 requirements Be at least 18 years old Schedule Monday-Friday Approximately 35 hours per week
