The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to facilitate the academic and social development of students, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to thrive in their educational journey. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development and special education practices, as well as a commitment to fostering a supportive learning atmosphere. Responsibilities Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. Support students in their daily activities, including academic tasks, social interactions, and personal care. Collaborate with educators to develop and adapt curriculum materials that meet the diverse needs of students. Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers regarding individual student performance. Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents to ensure a cohesive support system. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to special education. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Requirements Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of special education practices, including curriculum development and individualized instruction. Familiarity with Montessori methods or early childhood education principles is a plus. Understanding of childhood development milestones and strategies for supporting diverse learners. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed academically and socially.
