We are currently seeking full-time Teaching Assistants to help our students achieve academic success while working alongside dedicated educators and clinicians. Position Details Hours :
Monday-Friday, 8:15 am - 4:30 pm Summer schedule : Shortened academic day with time off in

Sonia Shankman Orthogenic School, Chicago, IL Responsibilities As a Teaching Assistant , you'll provide direct support to elementary or high school aged students in the classroom, working alongside teachers and other staff members to create a positive, inclusive learning environment. Your role will include assisting with: Academic instruction and classroom management Supporting students with emotional disabilities and/or autism Providing individualized academic support and promoting social-emotional growth Implementing strategies that combine strong curriculum and clinical insight to support each student's unique needs What We're Looking For To be considered, we're looking for candidates who have: A Bachelor's degree (preferably in counseling or education) Illinois State Certification, Type 39 (or willingness to obtain within 90 days) Background in elementary or secondary education (preferred) Experience working with students with emotional disabilities or autism (preferred) A commitment to a strengths-based approach and empowerment of families Flexibility, innovation, and a passion for working in a high-demand environment Ready to Make a Difference?
