Job Description

First Institute, a nationally accredited career college in Illinois, is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to teach in its Medical Assisting program. As an instructor, you will have the opportunity to positively impact students' lives by passing on your knowledge and experience. Must be confident on the computer and have various procedural knowledge of laboratory procedures. This position is primarily based at the Crystal Lake campus . Ideally, the instructor would also be available to teach at the Aurora campus . Candidates who can commit solely to Crystal Lake will also be considered. Lives of Others Responsibilities Include:
Demonstrate and apply a thorough and accurate knowledge of the Medical Assisting field Plan and organize quality instruction with the approved institutional curriculum to maximize student learning Modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse students' needs and learning styles Encourage the development of communication skills and professionalism Monitor student progress/attendance and advise students Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Student Services team regarding student progress, attendance concerns, and support needsJob Requirements:
A minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant, or RN Excellent oral and written communication skills. Prior work experience with clinical and administrative skills. Teaching or training experience a plus. High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills. A passion for helping others and being instrumental in changing lives. About First Institute First Institute has been changing lives for almost 40 years and we are just getting started. Paid time off Application Question(s): Are you available to teach classes Monday through Thursday, 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM, with a required campus arrival time of between 5:00 PM and 5:15 PM? This position is primarily based at the Crystal Lake campus. Ideally, the instructor would also be available to teach at the Aurora campus.
