Job Description

Job(s) Summary Join the FCLC team as an Early Childhood Teacher or Assistant Teacher! Let your passion for nurturing young minds inspire and shape the next generation. We are seeking full-time and/or part-time candidates, and we are open to both teacher qualified candidates, as well as assistants. At FCLC you will create engaging learning environments that foster curiosity, development, and a love for learning. You will help children develop foundational skills in literacy, math, social-emotional understanding, and physical activity, setting them up for success in their educational journey. We are currently looking for various positions, but our greatest needs are closing roles (we are open until 5:30pm every day). We have some ability to be flexible with schedules. We are open to candidates interested in working with infants, toddlers, and/or young 3s. Pay is based on experience and education/credentials. Assistant pay starts at $18/hr, teacher qualified pay starts at $21 Teachers and Assistants will: Engage in teamwork with colleagues to share best practices in classroom management and curriculum development. Must be a team player! Design and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate early childhood education and basic developmental principles. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and focus on strategies that promote respect, cooperation, and independence. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor Children's development. Collaborate with families through clear communication. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment. Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development. Qualifications Experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development theories Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners. Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is desirable. Must meet DCFS licensing requirements and background checks. CPR and First Aid is a plus. Must be at least 19 years of age and have a minimum of a high school diploma to qualify as an assistant.
