Job Description
Position Summary The Preschool Teacher Assistant provides instructional and classroom support to the lead teacher. to ensure the effective operation of the preschool program. This position promotes a safe, positive, and developmentally appropriate environment for all students. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist lead teacher with classroom management, daily activities, and routines. Prepare instructional materials and maintain a clean, organized classroom. Supervise children during play, snack, and transitions. Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce skills. Support the implementation of lesson plans and learning activities. Maintain a safe and respectful environment aligned with school policies. Communicate and collaborate professionally with teachers, staff, and families. Model Catholic values and support the mission of Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred. Prior experience working with preschool or early elementary children preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Dependable, collaborative, and able to follow teacher direction. Practicing Catholic Work Schedule & Compensation Full-time, 7:30 - 2:30 school-day hours. Hourly compensation commensurate with experience.
