Part-Time Assistant Teacher (Infant/Toddler) Afternoon Hours

Position Overview:

Little Scouts Preschool is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Teacher to support our program, with a primary focus on infants and toddlers. We are a high-quality early learning environment that values strong relationships, thoughtful routines, and a calm, nurturing approach to care.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM - 5:00

PM Responsibilities:

Support teachers in infant and toddler classrooms Assist with daily routines, including feeding, diapering, rest time, and transitions Maintain a clean, organized, and well-prepared classroom environment Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play Step in as needed to support ratios and ensure smooth classroom flow Build warm, responsive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

Qualifications:

Must be at least 19 years old Experience with young children preferred CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred (or in progress) CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Physical Requirements:

This is an active, hands-on role that includes standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs occasionally), and engaging with children both indoors and outdoors.

Pay:
