Duties Assist lead teachers with implementing curriculum plans aligned with developmental milestones and educational standards Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and facilitating conflict resolution among students Help prepare instructional materials, organize classroom activities, and set up learning stations to enhance student engagement Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities or special education plans (IEPs) Foster effective communication using techniques such as American Sign Language (ASL) when appropriate, to support students with hearing impairments or communication challenges Supervise children during activities, recess, lunch, and transitions to ensure safety and promote social skills Collaborate with teachers and specialists to develop tailored lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, Montessori methods, or preschool curricula Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience working with children in preschool, toddler care, or private school environments Knowledge of special education strategies, including working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy and math activities Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, teachers, and specialists Experience using American Sign Language (ASL) is a valuable asset for supporting diverse learners This role is ideal for passionate individuals eager to inspire young minds while gaining valuable classroom experience.
