In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers by assisting with instructional activities, managing student behavior, and providing personalized attention to meet diverse student needs. Your energy and proactive approach will foster a positive learning environment that encourages growth, independence, and confidence among students with varying abilities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with children, promote inclusive education, and contribute to their academic and social development. Duties Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy and math instruction. Support students with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, creating a safe and respectful environment. Tutor students in core subjects such as reading, writing, and math. Engage in mentoring and coaching students to develop social skills, confidence, and independence. Support classroom organization by proofreading materials, preparing instructional resources, and maintaining a tidy learning space. Collaborate with teachers and specialists to monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents or guardians when needed. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in classroom settings or childcare environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of special education practices, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management techniques. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, parents, and colleagues. Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus. Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learning styles and needs. Demonstrated classroom management skills to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
