Job Description

Neighborhood House Association is seeking a part-time MOW Program Assistant for Congregate meals to assist with coordinating and managing all activities for efficient congregate meal service. The position is part-time, Monday through Friday.
Position Essential Duties:
Complete intakes for new clients and enter information into senior meals software Route new Fulton County home delivered meal clients, verifying addresses and establishing delivery schedules prior to first delivery Enter client updates and other data into senior meals software Assist clients with questions, problems, or concerns specific to their congregate or home delivered meals Generate kitchen reports on daily basis Act as liaison between clients, staff, and third party agencies Perform office duties including, but not limited to, copying, filing, e-mailing, faxing Oversee the daily congregate meal site operations, providing support and assistance as needed Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of program food supplies for Fulton County sites, coordinating restocking with the Meals on Wheels/Kitchen Director as needed Assign substitutes for site managers/Fulton County drivers as needed Coordinate and/or lead age and culturally appropriate activities for senior participants Assist with delivering food to congregate sites as needed Assist with serving meals at congregate sites as needed Assist with running Meals on Wheels routes and/or filling in for the Home Delivered Meals program as needed Coordinate with Fulton County site managers to ensure compliance with program guidelines and safety standards
Position Ancillary Duties:
Relay client feedback to Meals on Wheels Director Maintain orderly client files Assist with outreach efforts in Fulton County to identify and enroll eligible seniors in congregate and home delivered meal programs Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent Ability to effectively communicate and work with diverse staff and community Ability to maintain client, employee, and program confidentiality Ability to operate a motor vehicle with current driver's license Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Minimum one year experience working with the senior population Minimum two years of administrative experience preferred Willing to obtain a ServSafe Manager's Certificate Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software programs
