Qualifications:
Current State of Illinois Paraprofessional Certificate or Substitute Teaching Certificate or Professional Educators License registered in Will County/Region 56 Associates Degree or higher; or 60 hours of college coursework; or ACT Work Keys; or
ETC ParaPro Test OR Current State of Illinois Paraprofessional Approval High School Diploma Requirements:
Ability to work as a team member Ability to communicate comfortably with students, parents/guardians, administrators, and others Ability to be flexible and patient Ability to follow and enforce rules, policies, and procedures Must be punctual and reliable
Job Description:
Assist students across school settings (classroom, lunch, recess, restroom) if necessary Frequent walking, standing, and sitting Monitor student behavior Leaves notes for the regular paraprofessional at the end of the teaching day Communicate in a friendly and positive manner towards parents, students, and administrators Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities Ensure the safety of students at all times
