Program Overview Private Therapeutic Day school serving K-22 students in self-contained classrooms Expressive Therapy (ET) approach offering students Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Recreation Therapy as well as incentive ET clubs such as Performing Arts, Weight Training and Yoga Club Active participant of Chicago Area Alternative Education League (CAAEL) Support Specialist Job Description Aid special education students by providing social-emotional and behavioral support in a therapeutic classroom milieu while assisting with academics. Support Specialist Job Details Full-time salary position with benefits (BC/BS health/dental/life insurance, 401K, Aflac, PTO, tuition reimbursement) Monday - Friday 8:00AM-3:30PM Academic calendar plus summer school session Opportunities to assist with ET groups and clubs (see 'Program Overview' above) Support Specialist Job Requirements Substitute Teacher (preferred) Paraprofessional Certification (required) Valid state driver's license in good standing
