In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to support the development of toddlers through age-appropriate activities, positive interactions, and attentive caregiving. Your energy and compassion will contribute to laying a strong foundation for children's growth, curiosity, and social skills during their critical early years. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in childhood development and classroom management. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on early childhood education and toddler development. Support children with their activities, including playtime, arts and crafts, storytime, and outdoor exploration. Ensure the safety and well-being of children by maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free classroom environment. Engage children in social interactions to promote positive behavior management and emotional development. Provide basic caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed. Support classroom management by encouraging good habits, routines, and respectful interactions among children. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences. Maintain accurate records related to children's activities, attendance, and developmental milestones. Experience Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar roles is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for working with toddlers is highly valued. Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified is required. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is advantageous but not mandatory. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies enhances your effectiveness in this role.
