Job Description

Iroquois West Upper Elementary School is looking for a paraprofessional to: Assist with
Implementing Interventions :
Help deliver targeted instructional strategies and interventions to students based on their specific needs.
Support Individual and Small Group Instruction :
Work with students individually or in small groups to provide additional practice and reinforcement of skills being taught by the teacher.
Monitor and Record Student Progress :
Track and document students' progress in their interventions, noting improvements or areas that need further attention. Collaborate with
Teachers :
Work closely with classroom teachers and special education staff to align interventions with classroom instruction and adjust strategies as needed.
Prepare and Organize Materials :
Assist in preparing instructional materials and resources for use in interventions, ensuring they are ready and available for use.
Provide Feedback and Encourage Engagement :
Offer constructive feedback to students and motivate them to engage actively in their learning process.
Support Behavior Management :
Help manage (when needed) classroom behavior and provide support to ensure a positive and productive learning environment. Assist with
Data Collection :
Help collect and organize data related to student performance and intervention effectiveness, contributing to ongoing assessment and adjustments. Participate in
Professional Development :
Engage in training and professional development opportunities to stay informed about best practices in effective instructional strategies.
Extra Duties :
