In this vital role, you will support a classroom teacher by fostering a nurturing, engaging, and structured environment for preschool children. Your energy and compassion will help cultivate a love for learning while ensuring each child's developmental needs are met with care and professionalism. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with children, educators, and families to create a positive foundation for early education success. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and early childhood development. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment. Engage with children during activities such as storytime, arts and crafts, play-based learning, and outdoor exploration to promote curiosity and social skills. Provide individualized support for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or requiring behavior management strategies. Help prepare classroom materials, set up learning stations, and assist with curriculum development aligned with preschool standards. Monitor children's progress and communicate observations to teachers and families to support ongoing development. Maintain clear communication with staff and parents to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's growth. Experience Prior experience working with young children in preschool, daycare, or early childhood education settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, including literacy education, math concepts, and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, working with individuals with disabilities or autism, and implementing individualized support strategies. Experience in classroom management and lesson planning within Montessori or other preschool curricula is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and care teams. Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team in fast-paced educational environments.
