JOB TITLE

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Properly trained paraprofessionals can play important roles in improving student achievement in schools where they can reinforce and enhance a teacher's effort in the classroom. A Computer Aide supports students with technology and grade-level computer skills, while also supporting staff with troubleshooting technology-related needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead groups of students or classes of students through an established computer curriculum Planning lessons and activities that facilitate students' acquisition of basic and advanced computer skills. Instructing in a manner that develops students' confidence in their technical abilities. Observing and managing classroom dynamics Tracking and communicating students' progress in technology skills Support and implement all policies and regulations as designed by each respective school and NLCS. Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of classroom teachers. Planning for student needs in collaboration with building administrator, teachers, and district E-coaches. Continue professional learning within Google Workspace (formerly Google Suite). Is positive in working with children and helps build their self-esteem. Guides students in working with other students. Has the ability to make use of a variety of resources to assist students in meeting their goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
2 years if passing college credits is preferred or Pass ParaProfessional Test Valid Driver's License Pass a background check New Hire Packet with Administration Building Possess knowledge and a solid understanding of Google Workplace Skillful in creating and managing Google Classroom Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve technology needs related to software or hardware
