Job Description
Instructional Assistant$17.00-$20.00/hour + $5,000 Incentive Package Timothy L. Johnson Academy is seeking dedicated, student-centered Instructional Assistants to support scholar success in our classrooms. This full-time position offers competitive pay, benefits, and the opportunity to work alongside teachers to provide meaningful academic and behavioral support to students. What We Offer $17.00-$20.00 per hour (based on qualifications and experience) $5,000 incentive package Full-time position with benefits School-year schedule Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Meaningful work making a difference in students' lives every day Position Summary Instructional Assistants work directly with classroom teachers to support student learning, reinforce instruction, assist with classroom management, and help create a positive learning environment for all scholars. Responsibilities Provide instructional support to students in classroom settings. Work with individual students and small groups under the direction of a teacher. Assist with implementing lessons, activities, and interventions. Support classroom organization and daily operations. Help monitor student behavior and encourage positive engagement. Assist with preparing instructional materials and classroom resources. Support supervision of students during designated school activities. Perform other duties as assigned by school administration. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Some college coursework preferred. Experience working with children in educational, childcare, or community settings preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families. Ability to pass required background checks.
