Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated educational team as a Teacher Assistant and play a vital role in fostering a supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for children of diverse needs. In this role, you will collaborate closely with lead teachers, support classroom activities, and help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to ensure every student's success. Your enthusiasm and commitment will contribute to nurturing young minds, promoting developmental growth, and creating a positive school experience for all children. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in delivering curriculum tailored to early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development Support children with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs by implementing personalized strategies aligned with their IEPs Foster an inclusive classroom environment by promoting positive behavior management and effective communication skills using techniques such as American Sign Language when appropriate Help facilitate classroom activities, lesson planning, and hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity and active participation Provide care and supervision for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support classroom management by maintaining organized learning spaces and encouraging respectful interactions among students Collaborate with teachers and specialists to develop curriculum modifications that meet individual student needs and promote literacy education, numeracy skills, and social development Qualifications Prior experience working with children in early childhood or preschool settings; private school experience is a plus Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies Familiarity with special education practices, including working with students who have disabilities or require accommodations under an IEP Proficiency in American Sign Language or willingness to learn is highly desirable Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists Experience with Montessori or other specialized educational approaches preferred Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for supporting young learners This paid position is ideal for passionate individuals eager to contribute to early childhood education through dedicated support and innovative teaching practices. Pay:
