Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM-3:45 PM +
Pay:
Up to $21 per hour Make a Meaningful Impact Every Day We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician (Paraprofessional Level II) to join a supportive special education team in Garnett, KS. This full-time, school-based role offers the opportunity to work closely with students, educators, and behavioral professionals to create positive, lasting change in the lives of children with special needs. Position Overview The Behavior Technician plays a vital role in supporting educational and behavioral success for students in a K-6 classroom serving approximately 14 students. You will collaborate daily with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), teachers, and other behavioral staff to implement individualized behavior plans and promote meaningful learning outcomes. Key Responsibilities + Support students with special needs in a classroom setting + Implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of BCBAs and behavioral staff + Assist with day-to-day classroom activities and behavioral supports + Foster a safe, structured, and encouraging learning environment + Collaborate with school professionals to meet educational and behavioral goals Minimum Requirements + High school diploma or equivalent required + Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred + Must be at least 18 years of age + Current CPR certification, if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD , or chest X-ray, if applicable + Ability to meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements Why Join Us + Consistent, school-day schedule with weekends and evenings free + Competitive hourly pay up to $21 + Collaborative, team-oriented work environment + Opportunity to grow your experience in behavioral and special education services + Rewarding work that truly makes a difference If you are passionate about supporting students with special needs and thrive in a collaborative educational setting, we encourage you to apply and become part of a team committed to student success.
